Charge It
Yep, charge it, but not just on any credit card. If you want to start paying less at the pump then it’s out with the old and in with the new. You may need to replace your current charge card with a gasoline “cash back” card. some banks now offer this as well. If gas is $4.00 per gallon and you recive 5% cash back for using the card and pay it off every month thats up to .20 per gallon you could save but always read the fine print and never be late on your payment.
Air in your tires
Make sure the air pressure is the same on all of your tires and it matches what is recomends on the tire it self.
have you ever trued to push a 2,000 + pound car with 4 flat tires ( I hope not) it is a little tough.
well the same rule applys to low tire pressure its tough on the car and that also makes it tough on the wallet.
alignement
is the car pulling to one side?
If so this could be an alignment problem. Simple meaning not all the tires are going the same direction.
they may be only off thousandth of a inch but thats enough to make the gas milage in your vehicle go down
not to mention the tire ware. tires like gas are not cheap. here is a real simple test when your driving dose the car pull to one side or the other on a level street is so have some one profesional check it out.

if you are like alot of people you think its cool to go over the recomended 3,000 miles for an oil change.
and yes you could be right
But if you have a car with over 75,000 miles chances are you need it every 3,00 miles or sooner.
if you burn oil yes you need to change it
if you leak oil yes you need to change it
if oil is on sale then yes change it

Your vehicle will thank you. I had a freind buy a car 5 years ago and the other day he came to me and asked how come his car didnt run as good as it did when it was new. i asked Him the most basic question have you ever had a tune up.
His resopnse didnt shock me so then I asked him about the air filter. he laughed and said the was sure they didnt need to filter the air for his BMW we drove to the local part store and went in and bought a 5 follar fram air filter
I replaced the filter in the parking lot of the auto part store and would'nt you know it the car ran like a champ.

dont drive so fast
Fast speeds are bad for gas milage as well as getting a ticket. This is a tough one drive the speed limit and keep you gas foot calm. the more you push that gas the more you pay.
Drive like you are going to take your grandma holding a cake and coffee to bingo this will save you gas
your car needs a diet
why would you carry a 50 lb weight set in the back of your car or the tool box or golf clubs or the 9,000 other things that litter peoples cars every day. There is no simple weight to gas ratio but less weight means better gas milage that is simple.
think of this as a good excuse to go on a diet yourself tell every one that you are trying to save gas because diets dont work.
